TAB Battery Applications
TAB Batteries offer a range of traction batteries that are ideal for all types of electrical applications such as forklift trucks, locomotives, floor cleaning machines, carriage lighting, electric barges, ground handling equipment etc. the list goes on.
Ecobat also supply the PzV Maintenance free TAB Gel traction range of cells / batteries.
Sealed TAB Gel batteries are produced in VRGLA Gel technology (Valve Regulated Lead Acid batteries with electrolyte in the form of gel) according to EN 60254-2 standard.
They can be used in all kinds of electrical appliances like: forklift trucks, electric road machines, cleaning machines, etc.
Due to its high operational safety and high degree of environmental readiness the TAB Gel battery is particularly suitable for applications in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and similar industries.
The main characteristics are; they are maintenance free with extremely low gassing during operation which prevents electrolyte leakage in case of cell damage along with zero contamination or corrosion due to leaking electrolyte.
UK Distribution of TAB Batteries
Since 2003 we have had the exclusive UK distribution rights to the TAB brand of cells. TAB is widely recognised as being one of the highest quality cells on the market. Such is the quality of the TAB product; many other well-known manufacturers have their own cells built under licence by TAB.
TAB high-quality batteries are known worldwide, especially in Europe, Asia and America.
As Ecobat we assemble individual cells (2V) into batteries with different voltages, capacities and dimensions such as the 2 volt traction batteries Ecobat supply, these suit all types of electrical machines.
Our wide production program covers the range of DIN (EPzS) cells according to EN60254 – 1, 2 and IEC 254 – 1, 2.
TAB Batteries was established in 1965 as a subsidiary of Rudnik Mežica Holding (Lead Mine Mežica Holding) in a region where different lead activities are more than 350 years old.
For the first 15 years TAB was a licence partner of Tudor, Sweden. Nowadays, TAB is producing a wide range of lead acid flooded, VRLA AGM and VRLA Gel batteries in three modern factories with approximately 1.300 employees on three different locations.
