Using 2 Volt Deep Cycle Cells for Narrow Boat Batteries
With the vast range of 2v cells in height, width Ecobat can accommodate the supply of 2v cells in the capacity of your need for your Narrow Boat application. The 2v deep cycle cell has a distinct advantage over what is termed as a Leisure Battery. The Leisure Battery has a Discharge value of no more than 50% and the life expectancy of 2 – 4 years with exception. Whereas the 2v deep cycle cell is designed to be discharged to 80% and have a life expectancy of 2 – 3 times of that of leisure. Example: - 100A/H Leisure battery has 50 useable amps and as opposed to 100A/H 2v deep cycle that has 80 useable amps. The 2v deep cycle for electric propulsion gives far wider range of capacities than can be gained using leisure batteries FROM 84–1860 Ah.
6V to 12V Monoblocs as Narrow Boat Batteries
Where space does not allow for 2V cells, Mono Blocs can be your solution and at Ecobat we will be able to advise for your requirements. 6V – 12V cyclic Mono Bloc’s flooded are predominantly used for cyclic use domestic electrics and electric propulsion for the smaller craft. 6V – 12V cyclic GEL is used where restrictions within enclosed areas where the build-up of gas would be a hazard. These Mono Blocs are available with capacities FROM 35-370 Ah
50Hz and High Frequency Chargers
Shores based chargers or on-board chargers are available, from 50Hz to Low Energy Consumption High Frequency taking energy saving to new levels, and with a range to suit all applications. Whereas the charging systems of Narrow Boat Domestic is commonly catered through the alternator or via the inverter system, there are times when shore based 240v systems are available. Onboard chargers are available dependent on the availability of AC supply and we can offer deep cycle chargers to suit most needs including low energy chargers.
