For materials handling equipment such as forklift trucks and warehouse machinery, we offer our PowerPlus 50Hz range of equipment.
This is our standard range, which offers many useful features at a very competitive price. 50Hz chargers offer simplicity and reliability. Standard PowerPlus chargers provide a 10 - 11hr recharge time, whereas PowerPlus 2 chargers a 7 - 8hr recharge time. Both are available in single phase and three phase configurations to suit your application and where required, PowerPlus 2 variants can be configured with an inbuilt air pump for electrolyte circulation systems.
The 50Hz charger is the modern incarnation of the traditional charger that has been around for many years. The basic technology remains the same using transformers and rectifiers etc to convert the AC mains to DC power for the battery, but the current version is now fully microprocessor controlled. Our 50Hz chargers are proportional – this means that if you connect a semi charged battery, the charger will only charge to the battery’s required level, not for a predetermined time.
Our PowerPlus range has a digital display showing comprehensive information about the charge cycle being undertaken, along with LED warning lamps which indicate the various stages of recharge.
50Hz forklift chargers are quite large and are designed to stand on the floor. We therefore recommend that, where possible, a protective barrier is installed in front of the charger, as this will protect it from careless drivers or a stray fork, which could result in damage.

Designed for use with wet batteries, either monobloc or traction cells up to 400Ah, they are supplied in a compact steel cabinet and remain the charger of choice for many operators. The PowerPlus Compact is particularly suited to hire operations where a robust unit is required to cope with regular transport to and from site.
